Regardless of who we are, our health and energy levels play a major part in our ability to live a happy and fulfilling life. Qi Gong (qi meaning ‘energy’ or ‘breath’ and ‘gong’ meaning skill) is a gentle exercise form that has been practiced for thousands of years in China and the Far East. It is specifically directed toward the building of a high level of health and energy within our mind and body, whilst at the same time providing effective techniques for reducing stress, whatever our challenges in life.
Consisting of simple movement and breathing techniques, Qi gong can be learned by any one, and once learned offers an authentic path to a lifetime of good health an inner well being. One of the advantages of the Qi Gong techniques that Toby teaches is that they can be combined effectively with our daily activities, such as walking, sitting, standing and so on. This means that our practice need not be limited to the time that we have for formal Qi Gong, but can be done through out the day, so that our daily activities themselves become a way of promoting our health and inner wellbeing!
